This course is built on the site of the Battle of Gonzales, a Mexican-American War battle in which Texans defended a cannon from Mexican seizure. My concept for both Gonzo stamps was to depict a battle for the basket, and to take inspiration from the cover art of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
